WHo Is Jesus?

Jesus is the sinless Son of God, the second member of the trinity. Before time began, He agreed to complete the Father's plan for the redemption of all human beings by becoming a human being.

At the right time, He set aside His deity and became human, being born to the Virgin Mary and lived his life perfectly fulfilling God's will for His life. He was tempted in all ways like we are but never gave into the temptation, thus never sinning.

After He had fulfilled all the Scriptures about His first coming, He offered His own life in our place. As God's prefect Sacrifice for sin, He was falsely accused, tried, and condemned, then tortured and executed out of religious jealousy for  crimes He didn't commit. But because He had never sinned, death could not hold Him... So He rose from the dead on the 3rd day, just as the Scriptures prophesied!

After making several appearances over 40 days, God exalted Him into Heaven and seated Him on His right hand, giving Him the highest honor, power, dominion, and authority. He is alive and reigns from Heaven as our Mediator, our Intercessor, and our Advocate—until He returns to earth at the end of all things to make all things right and set up His eternal rule and reign.

How can I be Saved?

DP1_3831.JPG

People tend to make salvation a lot more complicated than the Bible does or they try to do it their own way. Sometimes, they do both! But salvation--which includes everything God has provided through the finished work of Jesus: forgiveness of sin, healing of all sickness and disease, freedom from all demonic oppression, and provision of all our needs--is simple: repent (which means to change your mind and agree with what God says) and believe in who Jesus is and all that He did. When you do, God's grace immediately makes you a new creation: the old things pass away and all things become new!

Welcome to the family, Child of God!

BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

When Jesus left the earth, He didn't leave us alone! He sent us His Spirit—the Holy Spirit—to be our Comforter, our Helper, and our Guide. Everything God does in us and through us is by the Holy Spirit: He empowers us to fulfill God's perfect will and manifest Jesus here on the earth.

We all receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit when we are born again, like a glass being filled with water. But the Bible also tells of another experience that's like being immersed in water rather than just filled with water. It's called the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and it gives us the power of the Holy Spirit to be witnesses for Jesus. This is available to everyone who believes in Jesus and it changes everything!
